Hotel overview

Located in Montréal’s vibrant LGBT neighborhood, this hotel puts visitors steps from Rue Sainte-Catherine’s lively bars, restaurants, and nightclubs. The atmosphere suits travelers seeking an energetic setting with easy access to the city’s social scene. Rooms are modest and compact, focusing on essential comfort rather than luxury. While guest ratings show a mixed experience, many appreciate the cleanliness and convenience for short stays.

Access is secured via pin code, and the property does not have a traditional reception desk. Amenities include espresso machines in rooms and complimentary laundry facilities, appealing to budget-minded visitors and longer stays without daily housekeeping services. Its proximity to transit hubs, like Berri-UQAM station, makes exploring renowned Montreal landmarks straightforward.

Nearby cultural sites, such as the Notre-Dame Basilica and Mount Royal, are within easy reach, balanced with nightlife options for evening entertainment. This hotel fits travelers focusing on location and value over upscale amenities, especially those visiting for a weekend or short city break.

“Excellent stay! Great value for money — the hotel offers amenities and service well above what you would normally expect for this price range. The espresso machines in the rooms were a really nice touch and much appreciated. I stayed for a week, and when I requested fresh towels, they were replaced quickly and free of charge, which showed excellent customer service. Communication was simple, fast, and efficient from beginning to end. Highly recommend”

“I booked Clouds Hotel through Airbnb, and the place matched the photos. I didn’t have any issues with checking in or the room being dirty/unmade. Not sure if I got lucky, but this is my experience! I will say that for a small room such as this one (again, which I expected), it could really benefit from shelving and hooks on walls and doors to make use of the vertical space. As a result, I got creative and used the chair, door handles and the kitchen counter/stove top to store things. There was also a ton of noise during the day from the housekeepers and presumably other people living here; if you plan on remote working, I would advise against staying at this place. If you’re ok with noise, then the wifi and size of the desk are solid for work purposes. As for the location, I was pretty worried based on my internet research, but this area is actually fine. (I only felt a bit more unsafe when I got off the Saint Laurent stop walking back to this accommodation.) All in all, would I stay again? It felt expensive for what you get, so probably not, but I did plan this trip quite last minute, so I’m content with the outcome. Rating: 3.5/5”

“I don't get the bad ratings on Google ... I booked the room on Airbnb (where it has a good rating) and had a perfect experience. Very convenient for a weekend stay in Montreal. You enter the building and the room with a pin pad. I got instructions sent to me one day in advance and everything worked seamlessly. Quite convenient if you plan to check-in late as I did. My room was very small, but the furniture seemed to be quite new and everything was super clean. So overall I would say it's a really good choice if you just need a good, silent and clean place to sleep.”

“Very good hotel. Location is perfect 5-10 mins away from Berri UQAM. I didn't feel unsafe on the streets around the place also. I got a message with a pin to access the hotel and the room. I don't think they have a reception. The room was a small studio but very clean, with its own small kitchenette and bathroom. They also have a laundry that's provided free of charge to the guests - I didn't use it, so can't comment The only noise I could hear was during the day and only from the stairs above, it was very quiet at night. Note that they do not do room service here at all. You get a few small bottles with shampoo and shower gel, 2x packs of towels, rubbish bags and toilet paper. This might be a problem if you stay for the long term but was perfect for my 1 week stay For the price, location and quality of the room, I think this is a great option”
